Pottery lessons in our Staines, Surrey Workshop.
We have 3 wheels (two Fitzwilliam's) and a 4.5 Cubic feet electric kiln. Stoneware firing is to cone 6 with a good range of glazes. There is plenty of table space for hand building and glazing. For the beginner the basic skills are taught, pinching, coiling, slab building, press moulding, throwing, glazing etc.
More experienced potters can work on their own projects with technical support and new skills taught as required. Our small classes provide peer support and inspiration.
Other benefits to the student are good tutor/student ratio and working in a studio set-up for the production of commercial ware.
